The buoy power generators provides energy to both the on-board and subsurface systems with backup emergency power capability, and can operate for greater than six months without refueling.

This Lister-Petter generator provides 20 kW peak power, but is typically operated at 75% of peak output for increased reliability and decreased fuel consumption. The generators are air cooled, eliminating salt water cooling and the leading cause of failure in marine generators. Automatic heavy-duty fuel filtering is provided, as will an oversized oil sump to ensure reliable operation. Available power ranges from 12 to 72 Volts DC and 120/230 Volts AC.
