New buoy locations will be determined by user demand. Surveys are currently being distributed to select the location of future OceanNet buoys. OceanNet will expand scientific collection capabilities by reducing overall costs, allowing more complex sensors to be deployed, providing near real-time high data throughput, and enabling long term in-situ observation of deep ocean sites. We encourage ideas, and are actively looking for deployment sites that can support a wide variety of science packages.
