MCS provides our customers' vessels with worldwide C Band coverage to ensure that seamless, global connectivity is available. For ferries or ships that do not transit beyond smaller regional areas, Ku Band satellite service may be available depending upon the cruising area.

Voice Services

MCS offers a variety of voice services for ships. Offerings include worldwide voice via the public switched telephone network (PSTN), private voice between ships and shore offices using private network technology, and prepaid calling cards. Voice switched over a private network has the advantage of being completely toll free while the voice via the PSTN is offered at very competitive call termination rates. Prepaid cards are offered with a custom logo chosen by the client for their use and are available in a variety of increments.

Data Services

MCS employs modern data acceleration devices that serve to defeat handshaking issues encountered running TCP/IP protocol over satellite.

MCS also offers video services over our networks, enabling customers to conduct videoconferences or even broadcast television feeds at sea.
